FSG 68 Chemicals and Chemical Products

With an inventory of over 2 billions parts, we are bound to have the parts our customers need, even those that are obsolete and hard-to-find. To make parts purchasing easy, our inventory is searchable by both part numbers and by National Stock Numbers (NSN). The NSN is a unique 13-digit serial number assigned by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to each standardized item of the federal supply chain for classification and regulation. The NSN is broken down into 3 parts, the first 2 digits make up the Federal Supply Group (FSG), the second 2 digits make up the Federal Supply Code (FSC), and the last 9 digits make up the National Item Identification Number (NIIN). Collectively, the FSG and FSC make up the Federal Supply Groups Code (FSGC).

Federal Supply Group 68, Chemicals and Chemical Products, is comprised of various chemical elements and compounds, combinations or mixtures of chemicals sorted into categories based on their purpose and usage, and dyes. Note that this FSG only includes general nonmedicinal chemical elements and compounds, but does not include medicinal chemicals, in vitro diagnostic substances and reagents, nor liquid chemicals specifically designed for use as propellant fuels and oxidizers.
